2. Products and Services

  • Description:

    Bretten Anne Heath t/a Art On Target (hereafter referred to as “Art On Target”) offers year- round classes, online courses and corporate workshops, as well as catering for art parties and workshops.

    Art On Target generally does not operate on Sundays and Public Holidays, unless specifically arranged between Art On Target and the paying Client.

    Dates and times may be changed at the discretion of the Owner / Management, on reasonable notice to its Clients.

    All classes, workshops and/or courses are subject to limited available seats. Art On Target is under no obligation to accommodate further Clients / Attendees in any class, course or workshop once that class/course has been fully booked.

  • Booking Process:
    An agreement is concluded only once you have received a confirmation email from us. You will have the opportunity to review and correct your order before final submission.

3. Payment and Security

  • Payment Methods:
    We accept payments via Credit Card, Debit Card(Visa/Mastercard), EFT, and Cash.

  • Security:
    In accordance with Section 43(5) of the ECT Act, we utilise secure payment gateways that meet industry standards (PayFast and/or Loco) to protect your financial data.

  • Standard Classes:
    As per our policy, notice of at least 2 (two) hours is requested.

  • Special Events, Courses, and Workshops:
    Due to the extensive planning and material costs involved:

    • More than 72 hours’ notice:
      A full refund or credit will be issued, less a 10% administrative handling fee.

    • Less than 72 hours’ notice:
      The Client will forfeit the full payment. This is deemed a reasonable charge given the difficulty of filling a specialised seat on short notice and the costs already incurred for materials and prep.

  • Notwithstanding the above, in terms of Section 17(5) of the CPA, no cancellation fee will be charged, and a full refund or credit will be issued, if the Client is unable to attend the booking/workshop due to:
    • The death of the Client; or
    • The hospitalisation of the Client.

  • Art On Target may request reasonable proof (e.g. a medical certificate or death certificate) before processing a refund under these specific circumstances.

  • Rescheduling in Lieu of Cancellation:
    Wherever possible, Art On Target will attempt to accommodate a request to reschedule a workshop or course to a later date if notice is given within a reasonable timeframe, subject to availability.

5. Lateness

Art On Target shall not be held liable for any Client whom is repeatedly late. It is the Client’s responsibility to follow the schedule as is available on Art On Target’s website.

6. Copyright and Materials used

Art On Target shall make available the tools and resources in terms of its art sessions. All artwork created by the Client remains the personal property of the Client.

At no time may any Client remove any materials, tools and/or specialised equipment from the premises other than his/her own artwork.

7. General Behaviour and Use of the Premises

All Clients are under obligation to display courtesy and discipline at all times while attending any class and/or course offered by Art On Target. This includes respecting the rights and property of fellow Attendees in the classes, courses and workshops.

Art On Target reserved the right to request that any Client leave a class, workshop, course andor exhibit in the case of improper or disruptive behaviour.

8. Liability Waiver

Art on Target hereby confirms that it will not be responsible for any damages or any loss (including but not limited to physical injury, death or any financial loss), directly or indirectly incurred due to any act or omission due to events or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Owner / Management. This includes the actions of third parties not associated with Art on Target. This includes damages or losses suffered due to the failure to follow advice or instructions, as well as any loss of data suffered due to failure / negligence on the part of the Client. This will further extend to any intentional and/or negligent actions of third parties not associated with Art on Target.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Your data is used solely for processing orders online, processing bookings and /or for organising and hosting events at the studio, and furthermore, for purposes of improving our service.

Security Measures: We employ technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted data storage and role-based access controls, to prevent unauthorised access to your medical history and contact details.

10. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us directly. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the SAPC or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman.
